How Crazy is This!

My brand new RED craftman lawnmower: A new toy I purchased for my home. I have a lawn boy named Topher, but with the boys gone, yes! I had to do it myself. The first week after the boys left I had my handy mans son Jon, J O N....do it. Then for the 4th of July, Brendan did it, well this weekend I had to do it. With so much rain lately, it was getting really tall, so I went right to work. OMGoodness, i thought I was going to DIE! It was so hard to push, but NO i didn't quite! After finishing the back, i knew I had to finish or the front yard would just get even longer, so I went to the front and pushed on! After I finished, I was convince that I was going to contract it out as long as the boys were gone. So I called my handy dandy handy man! and to my surprise he told me that I have a great craftman lawnmower "it's self propelled".....What! I pushed that thing when I could have just used the self propelled handle...........Life is good now, minus the blisters. A lesson learned. Read the manual!
By the way my grass looks much better now then in this picture!

HGTV Curb Appeal......

I've decided that HGTV has made redecorating, updating, landscaping and design on a dime look way too easy, I'm still working on my yard and it still looks like I have a long way to go. After working in the yard, I'm sore, hot, beat, sweaty and have I mentioned how dirty I get. HGTV finishes projects in a day, I have help, two teenage boys.....wait.... maybe that's my problem.

The Fruits of Our Labor...
Last weekend during our yard work, we were cutting off some of the Wisteria bush off the roof, (since I'm getting a new roof) and during this time, this is what we found on the lattice.
Aren't they the sweetest creatures!
We left them right where we found them, we'll check in with them soon.

What started off as a small project!
The work on the sprinkler system turned out to be larger then expected. PVC pipping was to be routed from the back to the side yard and off to the front, then when they got to the front they found out that there was no PVC pipping but rubber hose as pipping! this pipping had leaks in various places, so what they ended having to do to make things right and functional, they re-did most of the pipping to PVC. Even some sprinkler heads had to be changed out. My new sprinkler system...
Ended up being a larger project.

Mounds and Mounds of Dirt!

Thanks to the workers at Alldredge Nursery, they worked really hard.

Riley was so good not getting in the way of the workers, actually I think she enjoyed having all those extra people in the yard noticing her!

A creature looking on at all the mess!
